1) I am most proud of making speaking time for my presentation. My parents made me present to them three times. Twice last night, and my mom woke me up at 5am to present to her again. Each time I presented I didn't make time but I really slowed down during my presentation. I'm also really happy that people enjoyed my activity.

3) I really felt that I chose a good topic. I chose it over karate because I felt like there would be more research on it. Over the course of this year I really learned how to fine quality research. Good research is what really gives a statement credibility. Being able to find expert sources is a million times more useful than being able to bend your body into pretzels.
4) There was a lot of procrastination during my project. I was short on time for both my 10min and my 30min presentations due to lack of planning and I often forgot to update my blog. If I could do it all over again, I'd pay more attention to deadlines and just start everything earlier.
5) Although my topic focused on the practice of Bikram yoga, my mentor taught me a lot about running a small business. I also plan on continuing my volunteer reception duties at the yoga studio. All the desk work has given me some experience which can help me find a job in the near future.

Blog 21: Mentorship
Mentorship Log 65 hours
My mentor's name is Vanessa Gomez, an instructor at Bikram Yoga Rancho Cucamonga
The most important thing that I have gained from my this experience is how to run a small business. It's completely unrelated to my topic but Vanessa had me do a lot of desk work like data entory. We did a lot of behind the scenes type things like inventory that doesn't come to mind when yoga is mentioned.
From the practice, the most important think was I got back into shape. After my shoulder injury I had been too sedentary, but now I'm in good condition to resume my karate training.
My mentor and interviewees helped put my on the right track for answering my essential questions. They would mention something interesting to me that I would later research online. As well as my mentor would email me articles she thought were interesting. ESA taught me how to research the right way and from there I chose my answers based on information that was consistent throughout multiple sources.
